Triathlon Training for Women

 

This year we will once again provide two twelve week programs for beginners, each geared toward completing a Sprint Distance Triathlon (.25 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 2.5 mile run). Our target races for this group will be women only, non-intimidating, and perfect for a first time or beginner triathlete.

 

There will be three group workouts a week, with optional workouts provided for you to complete on your own if you want to do more

New in 2010

 

Performance Based Triathlon Training

 

This twelve week group program will follow roughly the same format as the beginner program, but we’ll increase the level of intensity and specificity for those ready to push their training and racing to a new level.

Each athlete will be given a detailed weekly training plan, and workouts will be geared very specifically toward peak performance for the target event. Introducing the Flower Power Sports “Kid Power Triathlon” – July 31st, 2010!

 

We’re excited to announce this new race for the little athletes in your life. This race will provide a safe and supportive way to introduce kids from 5-14 to the sport of triathlon, where the emphasis is on having fun. Distances will vary based on age so that every child will be able to cross the finish line with confidence. The event will include a pool swim, a neighborhood bike ride, and a run to the finish line. Race numbers, t-shirts and finisher medals will be provided to all participants.
