Intro to Open Water
This one day clinic is designed to help the new or experienced triathlete become more comfortable with swimming in open water. Many women avoid the wonderful sport of triathlon because they’re afraid to swim in open water.
This clinic starts with the basics, in a supportive, safe, and non intimidating group setting. We’ll cover relaxation techniques, how to swim a straight line without lane lines, how to negotiate your space in a group, pacing, and race day strategies.
While is isn’t necessary to be an endurance lap swimmer to participate, a basic level of proficiency doing a freestyle swim stroke is required.
Wetsuits are strongly recommended.
